Safety and Quality - our promise to our customers
From raw material, processing to the manufacturing facility, everything is subject to our strict Quality Management. International standards, preventive risk controls and systematic safeguarding of food hygiene are part of our manufacturing practice. Berry.En products are made according to the following standards:
ISO 9001:2000
This norm describes a model standard for complete and all-encompassing quality management systems and is also the basis for our quality management.
British Retail Consortium (BRC)
On the basis of the BRC Standard, international retailers through the Global Good Safety Initiative (GFSI) established a common audit standards, the International Food Standard (IFS). The IFS aims to increase transparency throughout the complete supply chain in food production.
GMP
Food products need to be safe, healthy and appealing for the consumer. The principles of the Good Manufacture Practice (GMP) are applied by safeguarding the hygiene of machinery and technical equipment, microbiological monitoring, sterilisation of casks and containers, personal hygiene as well as pest prevention. The overall situation is monitored through hygiene inspections. Constant updates to hygiene and GMP knowledge and standards are important, too. Furthermore, staff training concerning hygiene principles is mandatory.
HACCP
The idea behind the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system is the systematic analysis of the supply chain from the raw material through all steps of processing and manufacture down to the finished product ready for shipping.
